A GENTLE WAY TO TREAT DIABETES…
SITAHIT 50 M is a combination of two drugs: Sitagliptin and metformin. This medicine is used to treat type 2diabetes. When taken with a proper diet and regular exercise, it can improve blood sugar control in adults. Metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in the liver and increasing insulin sensitivity. Sitagliptin inhibits the DPP4 enzyme and increases insulin release from the pancreas. This combination is not intended for patients under the age of 18.
COMPOSITION:
Sitagliptin:
Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4(DPP-4) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of type 2diabetes in combination with diet and exercise, alone or in combination with other oral hypoglycemic agents. Only rare anecdotal reports of Sitagliptin liver injury have been published.
Metformin:
Metformin hydrochloride, the hydrochloride salt of the biguanide metformin, has antihyperglycemic and potential antitumor activity. Metformin inhibits mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes, thereby increasing the intracellular AMP to ATP ratio, which activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and regulates AMPK-mediated transcription of target genes. This ultimately blocks hepatic gluconeogenesis, improves insulin sensitivity and fatty acid oxidation, and ultimately leads to lower glucose levels. Metformin may exert antitumor effects through AMPK-mediated or AMPK-independent inhibition of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), which is unregulated in many cancer tissues. In addition, the agent inhibits tumor cell migration and invasion by inhibiting the expression of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) mediated by transcriptional activator protein 1 (AP-1) activation.

How SITAHIT 50 M works:
SITAHIT 50 M help the pancreas produce more insulin, making it easier for the body to use insulin efficiently and reducing excess sugar produced by the liver. Together they provide better blood sugar control.
SITAHIT 50 M is an oral diabetes medication that helps control blood sugar levels.
Metformin works by reducing the production of glucose (sugar) in the liver and reducing the absorption of glucose in the gut. Sitagliptin works by regulating the level of insulin your body produces after eating.
Metformin and Sitagliptin, a combination drug used with diet and exercise, improves blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. SITAHIT 50 M is not intended to treat type 1diabetes.
